Description
Designed and hand-carved out of sese wood and aluminum by artisan Daniel Quarcoo of Ghana, this mask is festively adorned with bright colors and a variety of patterns. On the masks forehead is the Adinkra symbol for unity that reminds us that unity lies in strength and community. The artisan names the maski Morkporkpor /i , which means “one who makes a way” in the Ewe language.
